Leanne Sauers is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from the Capstone College of Nursing at the University of Alabama. Leanne joined Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons in 1997 as a Registered Nurse after working several years as a staff nurse in CVICU at a local hospital. She has worked in many capacities since joining Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons including clinical staff nurse, clinical research coordinator for FDA Phase II, III, & IV clinical trials, and as an Allied Health Professional working as a liaison between physicians, patients, and hospital staff.

Leanne’s passion for providing healing to patients undergoing cardio-vascular and thoracic surgery led her to further her education. She attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham and received her Master of Science degree in Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

Leanne is married with 2 grown sons. She enjoys spending her spare time gardening, hiking with her dogs, and spending time with family and friends.
